Traditional Neighborhood Banking
The new Concordia Bank & Trust branch in Rouzan is the bank's first office in Baton Rouge. Its location at the entrance to the prestigious Rouzan development required a confident solution. The design bridges the commercial Perkins Road with the pedestrian-oriented traditional neighborhood. A feature tower signals the entrance to both the neighborhood and the bank. A street-facing garden invites pedestrian traffic and buffers the offices from the intersection. Vaulted clerestory windows along Perkins Road increase the civic stature of the building. Combined these features give the bank a presence greater than its 4,588 sf footprint. The new Concordia bank is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and to Baton Rouge.
