LSU Eunice STEAM Innovation Center

Eunice, LA

WHLC helped LSU Eunice plan for their future STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Math) Innovation Center. LSU Eunice is one of the premiere providers for Medical Technology training in Louisiana and their existing basic sciences building is in desperate need of renovation and expansion. WHLC oversaw studies assessing the existing conditions of the building, projecting the anticipated future deferred maintenance requirements, programming the university's classroom needs and incorporating their vision for the future of the campus into the design proposal. The result was a design proposal for a two-phase expansion and renovation of the existing building. Phase I will add 4 new labs, 2 new auditoriums, 10 new faculty offices and bring the building’s stairs and restrooms up to current accessibility codes. Phase II includes the complete renovation of the existing building, including replacing most of the building systems. The Phase I project scope is currently moving forward in design.
