Where industry leadership and collaboration connect
The relocation of the Louisiana Chemistry Association's new office on the 18th floor of II Rivermark Centre created a workplace that reflects the organizations leadership role in supporting Louisiana's chemical industry while fostering collaboration among members, governing agencies, industry leaders, and community stakeholders. Designed to balance professionalism with employee comfort, the new office pairs a warm, sophisticated palette with strategic use of color, abundant natural light, and flexible workplace solutions.
Individual offices were thoughtfully tailored to meet employee needs while maintaining a cohesive design throughout the space. Floor-to-ceiling glass maximizes access to daylight and preserves sweeping views of downtown Baton Rouge, creating an open and connected environment. Adaptable conference spaces support a variety of meeting formats and can accommodate gatherings of up to 50 attendees.
Custom details, including a boardroom credenza designed to incorporate the client's existing beverage refrigerator, reinforce the project's focus on flexibility, resourcefulness, and long-term value.
Interiors

Details in consistent geometry are depicted through the repeated shape and size of the tiled accent wall beyond and the statement chandelier in the center. Warm wood tones and traditional herringbone pattern flooring give the space a more upscale, traditional feel.

The boardroom has wrap-around views featuring the river and capital building. A bold carpet pattern mimicking the association’s ties to science brings color and softness to the space.

Instead of one traditional, large boardroom table, flexible training furniture was selected to provide multiple configurations depending on user needs. Benches and stacking chairs were provided for added seating during large board meetings.

A bright teal was threaded through the project to provide a cohesive look between each individual space. Furniture and lighting with gold and brass accents were selected to enhance a traditional, hospitable design.

The smaller conference room utilizes the same conference chairs as the boardroom for design fixability. The table features fluted wood base for a pop of sophistication on a smaller scale.

Each office reflects the client’s priority of granting employee's autonomy over their offices while being cognizant of fixed room sizes. Intentionally planning for great views out of each private office aids in employee wellbeing and overall satisfaction in this space.
