Baton Rouge General Livingston marks the second installment in BRG’s Neighborhood Hospital initiative, aimed at expanding local access to essential healthcare services—particularly emergency and inpatient care—within growing communities.
Strategically located at the intersection of I-10 and Juban Road in Denham Springs, the 40,000-square-foot facility will provide a full spectrum of services in a compact, efficient footprint.
Ground Floor Program Includes:
- Inpatient Unit: 12 private hospital beds
- Emergency Department: 14 exam/treatment rooms designed for rapid response and efficient patient flow
- Imaging Suite: Equipped with CT, X-ray, mammography, and DEXA scan capabilities
Second Floor Program Includes:
- A full-service Physical Therapy Department
- A centrally located BRG Medical Clinic featuring the latest updates to their clinical flow model
- An additional tenant clinic space
- Shell space reserved for future expansion of services based on community needs
One of the signature features of this facility is the BRGMC Clinic, which incorporates a refined “flow station” model adapted from the Virginia Mason Institute. This patient-centric layout utilizes pass-through exam rooms: patients enter directly from the public corridor and are seen by clinicians who access the rooms from a centralized staff work area. This model—first implemented at BRGMC Ascension—improves care efficiency, reduces hallway congestion, and enhances patient privacy.
As Livingston Parish continues to lead Louisiana in population growth since 2020, the new BRG Neighborhood Hospital is designed to meet the increasing demand for accessible, high-quality healthcare. It is an essential investment in both infrastructure and community well-being.
