WHLC 2nd Annual Canoe Trip

"This is the Life"

Braving the Rapids! (mainly just the debris in the creek)

A group from WHLC braved the gravel beds and tree stumps of the Boga Chitto River in the 2nd annual WHLC Canoe trip. The kids had a blast floating down the river, and the boat flips per person were down this year overall. The snakes were also happy to see us. An observation from Richard Longman, aluminum canoes don't make very good shelter in a lightning storm. We missed Jordan Crawford, who initiated this event, but wish him well on his trek across the Appalachian Trail. You can follow Jordan's hike, along with the rest of us at WHLC, here.
